How often do I have to change the water and air filters?
The air filter will need to be washed with tap water once a month under normal conditions such as homes and offices. Dirtier areas, however, such as construction yards and other dusty environments may require more frequent cleaning. The air filtration system will need to be replaced along with the water filtration system once a year.
How will I know when to make the changes?
The water filtration warning light will blink and an alarm will beep to notify you that the water filter needs to be replaced. The Air Filter warning light will blink every month reminding you to wash the air filter.
Is there any plumbing needed for the AquaMaker AM10 unit, and can I attach an external water source to it?
There is no plumbing needed for the AM10. Just plug it into a 240V/60Hz AC socket, and it starts to produce pure, clean, crisp drinking water almost immediately. The AM10 does not allow for an external water source connection.
What type of maintenance do I need to do for the AM10?
Very little. You must clean the air filter monthly and replace the air & water filters once a year.
Does this unit have any warranties?
Yes. There is a one-year warranty on parts and a three-year warranty on the compressor.
Does the AM10 unit make water in any condition?
Since the AM10 water generation technology is based on humidity and temperature it will produce water only when there’s humidity in the air. The greater the humidity, the faster the water production.
What is the storage capacity of the AM10?
The AM10 has a total storage capacity of 33.5 litres of water. After reaching this level, the unit will stop producing water to prevent any overflows.
Does this unit have any other added benefits?
Yes. It cleans the air. The first stage of the AM10 is the air filtration system. This unique system removes 95 percent of all air-borne particle, dust, odor, mold spores, bacteria, and VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) from the air. The clean air is then released back into the environment.
Do I need any special maintenance if I leave for a long period of time?
No. Simply drain the unit before you leave, using the two drains located on the back of the AM10. Then, just shut it off until you are ready to start using it again.
How does the AM10 produce clean, pure drinking water?
Through a process called oxidation. It is a sophisticated way to take each individual atom of oxygen in the water and protect it with a natural, harmless, and drinkable protective layer that prevents organic contaminants from being able to affix themselves to the oxygen. Since these contaminants cannot attach themselves to the molecules, we can isolate, destroy, and filter them, out of the water.
